GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This device provides a programmable clock using an external clock reference to generate the output frequency. The output clock is generated by using phase-locked loop frequency synthesis technique. A stable output is produced by using a very low jitter rate PLL circuit. A high performance CMOS process technology coupled with special analog circuit techniques enable it to achieve a wide operating frequency. A microprocessor compatible interface is used for the ease of system designs. The frequency of the output clock is determined by the programed value of the internal dividing counters.
